Why does your horse get stressed?
Horses are flight animals with an extremely sensitive nervous system. Competitions, transport, a new stable, changing group composition or unfamiliar environments are common stress factors. Even subtle changes in the daily routine can cause tension.
Chronic stress has direct consequences for your horse's health and performance. A magnesium deficiency amplifies this effect: magnesium plays a central role in nerve-muscle signal transmission. With a deficiency, your horse reacts faster, more intensely and stays tense longer. Recognisable signs include nervousness, excessive sweating, loss of focus and spooking.
